Open with the promptOpen ChatGPT with the prompt below and it walks you through the whole setup: your account, the connection, your free minute, and a first test call to your own phone. It asks before it spends anything.
I am new to Open Calls (opencalls.dev), an AI phone-calling service. Walk me through setting it up and making a first test call with the free minute, one step at a time, waiting for me to confirm each step. 1) Account: I open https://opencalls.dev/signup?via=google, sign in with Google (email and GitHub work too), and a personal account is ready for me. 2) Free minute: on the page where I approve the connection (or at https://opencalls.dev/app/start) I give my mobile number and you call me at once for a one-minute introduction, free and without a card; that number becomes my callback number. Calling anyone else needs credit I add myself in https://opencalls.dev/app/billing. 3) Connect: help me add Open Calls to ChatGPT. MCP server URL: https://opencalls.dev/mcp. Authentication: OAuth (I sign in on opencalls.dev and approve access to my account). Your own documentation: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/12584461-developer-mode-apps-and-full-mcp-connectors-in-chatgpt-beta. Walk me through Settings › Apps & Connectors › Developer mode › Create step by step if you cannot add it yourself. When a call may need my answer, choose “Always allow” for respond_to_call so answers reach the person on the phone in time. 4) Confirm: run get_workspace and tell me that my account is connected, my available credit, the destination rates and its next_step. 5) First test call: I will give you my own mobile number. Quote the maximum charge for a one-minute call from the destination rates in get_workspace, ask for my approval, then use call_business in ask mode to call me and ask one simple question, for example what I would like for lunch tomorrow. Poll get_call until it ends and tell me exactly what I answered, with the supporting quote. After that we can try a real business. Getting-started guide: https://opencalls.dev/start Never place a call, spend credit or change settings without asking me first; every call needs my explicit approval and a maximum charge.
ChatGPT sends the prompt as soon as it opens. Developer mode must be available on your ChatGPT account; the prompt explains where to turn it on.
